Guest guest
Nandaji, The quality of the audio and video has really improved. Thanks to you, Kumari, and all the other computer sevaks. Chanting along with Swamiji and the group last night was wonderful. I have a couple of technical questions that might relate to others as well. First, I have a high speed internet connection but my computer is a couple of years old. I maxed the memory. Whenever I try to email for the online chat I get bumped from the webcam viewing. I have tried emailing with the link from the shreemaa.org webpage, going into my account with another browser, and even using a second browser and other email account. Normally I can have several windows open at once, so wondering if it might be the amount of space the web video and audio take up or perhaps that firefox does not work well with this process. Ideas? Second issue is that I have not been able to download/view the recent gita and lalita video classes. I have viewed short videos and audio files from the website with no problem. When I click to open the class files my computer works and works in the getting file mode but they never come up...even after 20 minutes or so. A memory problem on my end or other ideas? Thanks so much, Sadhumaa
Guest guest
Dear Sadhu Maa, Thank you for paticipating in the live broadcasts. To answer your technical questions; first, how much memory do you have in your computer? there should be at least 512mg and preferably 1Gb. Firefox should work well, although, if you have many browser windows open at one time on a low memory system, you could have some browser crashes. I recommend that you install a second browser like Camino and use that for the window or the emailing. You can also view the broadcasts in Camino. Camino is a nice, light weight browser. Firefox, if it's not the most current, could give some issues. Another option is to use Quicktime client and use these rtsp URL's for the 2 video broadcasts. rtsp://65.98.35.106:554/webcam.sdp rtsp://65.98.35.106:554/webcam2.sdp then, at the http://www.shreemaa.org/broadcasts you can click the off arrow on the video control panel to turn off the video broadcasts since you'll be viewing those in Quicktime and use the browser window to hear the audio broadcast. Quicktime client windows do work better than firefox for the video. I use a Macbook and I'll have 2 browsers open at one time: Safari for monitoring the video server, Firefox for the audio broadcast, and 2 Quicktime client windows for the video broadcasts. a third browser(Camino) for doing anything else. I hope this helps and feel free to email me offline(dsjames (AT) pghmail (DOT) com) if you have other questions or need clarification. Much Love, Kumari , "Sadhu Maa" <sadumaa wrote: > > Nandaji, > The quality of the audio and video has really improved. Thanks to you, > Kumari, and all the other computer sevaks.
