Guest guest
Namaste- I have ordered the Chandi Path cd so that I can begin learning to chant this. I was wondering if the cd had all the preliminary shlokas, stotrams and prayers, or is it just the thirteen chapters? I realize it takes around 5 hours to chant the whole thing, and I am interested in eventually learning to chant it all - but I feel I should start at the beginning. I have enjoyed reading it and studying it along with the Chandi class poscasts. The podcasts are such a blessing for one as pressed for time as I am! Blessings, ~Devi~
Guest guest
Namaste Devi, Congratulations! What a wonderful step you have taken! Chanting even a sloka of the Chandi is soooooo sweet and just like chocolate (at least in my view) once you have a little, YOU WANT MORE! Chandi Maa kijai! Swamiji has enumerated many ways to start chanting the Chandi, ie, the Kavach (armour), the Athargala Stotram and the Kilakam; one chapter at a time, etc. swamiji illuminates these different ways in His book Pronunciation and Samputs. All the best to you in your new endeavor. Jaaaaaaaai Maa , "Devi Spring" <prana_devi wrote: > > Namaste- > > I have ordered the Chandi Path cd so that I can begin learning to > chant this. Guest guest
That's just wonderful Devi! We had an online Chandi class a couple of years ago, and I really enjoyed that. Since, I have worked with portions of the text, but have not felt ready to set myself to learn and practice the entire thing. I applaud your desire and determination. I think Maa and Swamiji have a soft spot in their hearts for anyone who practices Chandi Path. Jai Maa!
