Tricky stuff! But worldly desires is what gets us in to trouble and keeps us from experiancing our true nature. In The Atma Bodha by Shri Shankaracharya it says in verse 32: Pain and pleasure, love, hatred and fear belong to the individual mind.Since I am beyond the mind, these cannot produce change in me. The Vedas declare that the self transcends cosmic energy, transcends the mind. It is pure luminous and beyond time and space." In order to be satisfied with the manifestation of consciousness we must become a detached witness to creation and become a mahabogi (the great enjoyer).
