Meaning:

Oh the One at thiruvArUr of chariot and flag crowded streets!

Other than You who will realize my misery?

Oh Reverend! Is this the way I, the slave, should languish?

Oh the One with twined hair on which beside the array of

white skulls, water, crescent and series of spotted shining

snakes move around! Oh the One Who comes on bull!

Will I suffer like those who do not have love for You?"

 

Notes:

1. paravai nAcciyAr cries for help from God, whose devoted mind

to Lord shiva was disturbed by the sight of cundharar.

(Lord made them both marry and lead a household life of

devotion to God)

2. It is the masses who get unsettled by gloom and glee.

Those with stable mind in the feet of God rejoice the

Bliss ever.
