Dear Preston,

 

I've never had a Guru and know nothing about Gurus so

please take my words with the proverbial grain of

salt.

 

I'm sorry for your disappointment. I can only imagine,

from things I've read onlist over the years, that the

perfection of one's Guru is a terribly important

thing. So it must be a personal betrayal of sorts to

discover you've devoted your love and a part of your

life to someone who wasn't what they seemed.

 

But they kind of were, weren't they, for as long as

you needed them. Perhaps their presence was necessary

for you when it was there, and now you're supposed to

break away. How else to break you away than to show

you their shortcomings.

 

Please don't be bitter. I know, easy for me to say.

But Saturn needed to break you away from your Guru

right now in "your path" which is not your Guru's

fault.

 

Anytime we seek perfection in something we are doomed

to failure. Hopefully we will someday be able to love

and learn from others knowing and seeing their faults.

Sometimes someone's faults teach us what we need to

know, and other times their good side teaches us

despite their faults. Maybe you needed the deceit in

order to be open to learning what good they did have

to teach.

 

Okay, sanctimonious, true, but I guess I just talk

that way. Sorry.

 

Years ago I was involved in the creation of a game and

I ran a lot of focus groups trying to improve the

game. It was the intelligent people who made me feel

smart and creative (ego), but the really stupid

annoying people who zeroed in on the game's faults and

helped me make the game a much better product.

 

You have a path to walk. You had lessons to learn. Yay

for when the Guru helped you on that path

Yay for now that you are ready to go forth on your own

I wish you well.

 

And please do tell, what's a prana and how does one

siphon it off? er, if it's not rude or off color to

ask....
