Guest guest
Dear Gopananda prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I was just reading the conversations around the choice of a cow breed for your desired farm projekt in in Buenos Aires area, Argentina. We are just finishing a detailed study about different cow breeds of the world especially European and Indian breeds. Our conclusion is that this question wheteher it is better to have a Bos Indicus (zebu) or a Bos Taurus on an ISKCON self sufficient project can only still exist due to the lack of information about the zebu breeds. Zebu breeds are much superior in all means and after deep study you may find that they are that much different from each other as a donkey from a horse. The comperative study I may publish in an other letter. Anyway, we have on our farm 32 cows and oxen, of Simmentali and Alpien (Tirolian Grey). We are just now despertly trying to import zebu animals that is very difficult but, it seems we can make it from Argentina!!! :-) it may be a good joke for you. The idea that you may choose to breed a Jersey is in return a great fun for us :-) I could say I couldn't beleive it! I hope you can convince yourself to breed zebus by learning more about them. I can provide you all kind of information and contacts if you need. We are coresponding with Brasilian scientists and breeders for a year or so, Brasilian breeders are the most experienced about zebu breeds, since they have all the mayor Indian breeds and also many crosses of them and also crosses with zebuXEuropeans. We are planning to bring embryos from 5 martises, from the breed we found the best dual purpose zebu in India and in Brasilia, it is called Guzera (Kankrej). Guzera is considered the best dual purpose animal (milk and strength) amongst the zebus. They can give 3500 liter milk on hard enviroment and can give up to 5-6000 litres in better keeping. (Recorder is 9000 ltrs) the bull can weight between 800-1200 kgs with 160-170 cms height. This is the famous draft animal used also on Indian pada yatra. We may bring them from Brasilia to Argentina were from we can import. If you want to cooperate with us you may have 5 superior genetic cows of the Guzera. Think about it and I can help you with the infos on the zebus later on, if you want! Your servant, Gaura Sakti das. TP- New Vraja Dhama. Guest guest
Dear Gaura Sakti das, from New Vraja Dhama. Please tell me in which country in Europe you are based and what is your nationality. I believe in France. That way I may be able to communicate in your language if you prefer. I post this on the conference as it may be of interest to others. Please send me the information you are relating to. In terms of being of aid in helping you import cows from Brazil to Argentia and export them to Europe, with payement of five cows, then, yes, I am interested, would obviously need more information. In both respects, the information you are talking about is key to my aspirations for cow protection, so please send me what you have and we will keep in contact. Yours in service, Gopa Dear Gopananda prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
