Guest guest
Daily Reflection December 8 - Work Question: What does a person do who doesn’t have a purpose? Swamiji: I suggest that a person without a purpose better find one. Without a purpose it is difficult to have a meaningful life. How can you accomplish anything if you don’t know what your purpose is? Guest guest
Could we discuss more and perhaps hear more from Swamiji about how one identifies a goal that would be worthy of our commitment when it is not obvious? Guest guest
Namaste Sadhu Maa and everyone! I asked this same question of Swamiji fairly recently and this is what He had to say (and i paraphrase, naturally): Start making a list. Put on it everything you really like to do. Don't leave anything out. Do you like to sing? Do you like to dance? Whatever it is, put it on your list. This should not be a rushed process since you really want to be sincere with Yourself. I sometime hear people say: "but I don't have the time to do..."but what they really should telling themselves is:"I haven't prioritised my goals well enough to make the time." When it becomes important enough to you nature will often provide and help make the time. I think that's what Swamiji means when he says goals worthy of our commitment. We need to be passionate about our goals!
