We can thank Joyce-ji for that. She has been very dedicated to the

Sangha and so supportive and as you can see did a wonderful job with the

HS home page and the last volume. Without the help of the Sangha members

and these good people like David, Berit, Gloria, and Joyce over the

years, we would not have the type of web presence we have today because

I am a complete tech novice although always trying to learn things.

 

We have been looking for ways to improve the current design and recently

decided to ultimately put all the site articles in a wordpress blog

design.

 

In fact, I have made myself learn the basics of Wordpress blogging as

you can see on www.luthar.com. Do you think that such a design would fit

the community blog as well? Please sangha members let me know.

 

Using the Wordpress blog design will allow long term members to upload

pictures and essays whenever they wish and these will appear on the

website it self in real time without the need of a middle person editor.

 

So my ultimate goal for the HS website is to have a true community blog

where long term trusted members can share pictures, poetry, stories,

articles, and essays without requiring any permission from anyone and

these would be automatically uploaded to the home website and would

appear to the public.

 

We can always use help in terms of time (in the initial uploading of

existing articles on (www..com) if anyone is interested.

Wordpress is easy to learn. I learned it due to my sheer enthusiasm for

it and by trial and error. David Hodges, our Chief Technical Officer

also is in favor of it.
