Guest guest
Dear Yaduraja Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! On Oct 30, 2005 you wrote: > a) Srila Prabhupada established himself as the sole diksa guru for ISKCON > in 1966. > > b) Srila Prabhupada never ordered that he should ever stop being the diksa > guru for ISKCON. > > c) Therefore Srila Prabhupada remains the diksa guru for ISKCON. By these statements you are challenging the position of the GBC (the commission above you). So you should tell us what you mean by "diksa guru". In TFO Krishnakant did not write (backed up by quotes from Srila Prabhupada) what he means by "diksa guru". Therefore I use Srila Prabhupada's definition: The spiritual master who initiates. You wrote that the very definition of diksa is to impart knowledge. So by "diksa guru" you mean "the spiritual master who imparts knowledge". So your point c) is "Srila Prabhupada remains the sole spiritual master who imparts knowledge in ISKCON". In other words, you are claiming that Srila Prabhupada did not authorize anyone to impart knowledge. But you have not backed up this claim by quotes. In this debate you also wrote that there is no difference between diksa and siksa. So your point c) is "Srila Prabhupada remains the sole siksa guru for ISKCON". But also this is not confirmed by Srila Prabhupada. Do you really think that you know the science of initiation simply after having read some statements here and there without the guidance of a spiritual master who can correct you if you misunderstood it? > “Physical presence is not important.” > (Room Conversation, Vrndavana, 6/10/77) You quoted this statement out of context. You did not write for what the physical presence if not important. Can you please tell us the context of this statement. ys Ramakanta dasa
