Message from H.G. Revathi Raman Das Adhikari, zonal secretary, Andhra

pradesh.

 

I am happy to know that the upcoming Ardha Kumbha mela at Allahabad is a

National Event conducted by the ALL INDIA ARDHA KUMBHA - MELA ORGANISING

COMMITTEE consisting of senior vaishnavas such as His Holiness GOPAL KRISHNA

GOSWAMI MAHARAJ, His Holiness LOKANATHA SWAMI MAHARAJ, His Holiness

NAVAYOGEENDRA SWAMI MAHARAJ, His Holiness BHAKTHI PURUSHOTHAM SWAMI MAHARAJ,

and many senior disciples of His Divine Grace A.C. BHAKTHI VEDANTHA SWAMI

PRABHUPADA and many ISKCON leaders.

 

I take this most auspicious opportunity to render humble service at the

holiest thirtha in the universe namely Thirtharaj - Prayaga, to the best of

my capacity.

 

I am happy to sponsor prasadam distribution to the devotees and the sadhus

and of course to the thousands of yathries who will be visiting our very

attractive pandal & the ISKCON camp.

 

Besides the significance of Kumbha Mela at Allahabad there are many other

important connections for ISKCON Movement in the recent history with this

Holy Dham.

 

Firstly, Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu gave His valuable instructions to

Srila Rupa Goswami in this Holy city, even today there is the Rupa Gaudia

mutt in honour of their meeting here.

 

Secondly, Sriman Abhaya Charan De, received Sri Harinam Diksha from His

Spiritual Master, Srila Bhakthi Siddhantha Saraswathi Thakur in this city.

Also, Sriman Abhaya Charan De helped to establish Goudia Vaishnavism in this

city by supporting Goudia sanyasis, who came to Allahabad from Kolkatta,

where Sriman Abhaya Charan De lived with his family for more than a decade.

 

In 1970's Kumbha mela, at Allahabad Srila Prabhupada was personaly present

with His western disciples encouraging them to do daily Harinam Sankirthan,

Book Distribution and Prasadam Distribution.

 

Sri Gangadevi ki jai, Sri Yamuna devi ki jai, Sri sarasvathi devi ki jai.
