question about dying on a religious day

Dear Devotees,

 

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

 

Generally in the society of devotees it is considered auspicious if someone

dies on a religious day, like an appearance day of the Lord or that of a

great sadhu. Is there a sastric reference for this? Does it mean the

person goes to Godhead for sure or is more likely to go?
