Guest guest
Question from Chris: (The original question was sent to Swamiji - /message/21143 </message/21143> - the condensed question posted here.) Can you please explain the difference between Prakasha and Pratyaya? Thank you for your time. Swamiji's response: A Pratyaya is the perception of a concept. Subject, I, the perceiver remains separate from object, the perceived. A Prakasha is the union between the perceiver and the perceived. Certainly there are times when all the forms of perception: Pratakshya, Pratyaya and Prakasha occur simultaneously, or so near simultaneously as to not be able to determine any separation between them. But to understand the processes, we must define them individually.
