Dear Friends:

Age-old Hindu scripture, Agama Sastra, recommends that Maha

Kumbabishekam (or consecration ceremony) be performed for a sacred

temple on four occasions - (a) when new idols are installed, (b) when

an existing temple has to be relocated, © when significant

renovations are carried out in an existing temple, and (d) every

twelve years in the life of a temple. Devipuram temple was consecrated

12 years back and indeed, on Devi's direction, we are pleased to

announce the Twelve-year Maha Kumbabhishekam Ceremony at Devipuram.

This function will take place from January 30th to February 2nd, 2007,

the Pournima of Magha Masam.

This is a truly unique opportunity to participate in the sacred and

empowering rituals that can be traced back to the goddess herself.

Maha Kumbhashishekam's significance can be gauged from the fact that

Sastras say that Gods, Siddhas and Yogis from different planes come to

witness and partake in this event. Therefore, this is also a special

chance for all of us to get Guruji, Amma and Devi's blessings as the

divine grace flows in abundance during a Maha Kumbhabhishekam. The

program will include a synergistic combination of homas, pujas and

rituals. Special effort is being made to organize world-class

music/dance concerts and workshops/seminars to nourish all aspects of

the divine shakti. More details on this event can be found at:

We invite all of Goddess' children from the world over to come and

join in this once-in-a-lifetime event. Guruji-Amma Annapurna and
