The other night we were watching the program at Devi Mandir, and at the

end, Swamiji said that Surath was the walker tonight (or something like

that). We have noticed before that at the end of the program, someone

seems to be circling the fire. Can anyone please explain the

significance of this? TIA, Karen

Dear Karen,

Om!

Shree Maa likes to walk around the Havan for exercise. On one day when

She did not come in the evening, Swamiji suggested that we continue

that tradition for the benefit of the webcam viewers. Nothing serious.

Hey Karen!

My impression is that this is how Mother takes her exercise. I think

she does fifty-four circumambulations of the temple area. For the past

couple of weeks Mother has been absent from the satsangas; I don't

know why, though I'm sure everyone at the Mandir does (we are the last

to know anything - qualifies as "gossip" I guess). But who knows, the

ways of the guru are very mysterious. It mightn't be illness; it could

be anything...

My feeling is that Mother's absence is being acknowledged by Surath

and Swamiji in this little homage to her usual habit.

Good to hear from you!

Jai Maa!
