A horse name Shakti ? [ Question from Homepage : Advise needed ]

I have accessed your e-mail address from your website. I wonder if you

could be so kind as to help me with an answer.

 

I would like to call a female horse by the name of Shakti. I

do not wish however, through my own ignorance, to upset or offend the

followers of Hindu beliefs. Could you please advise me whether this

name is acceptable. I would greatly appreciate your advice.

In Tamil Nadu we routinely name cows at home 'Lakshmi,

Gowri, Kamakshi and so on'. Cows become members of the

family.
