Guest guest
Dear J_R member, I have a few issues with that rule! In the past, when in certain societies (Kulins or Kuleens in Bengali society) men were allowed to marry more than one woman, one in each village just so they may procreate the best child, a wicked genetic experiment at its WORST, this concept of the 2nd and subsequent wife being considered the younger sister (hence the 3rd house reference, 9th being the 3rd from 7th, the primary wife <sounds so crass and inhuman!> may be acceptable to some, but I have a problem with that cover-up. ASK any 2nd wife (simultaneous, not consequential) and she would hardly consider the PRIMARY a sister or didi though society may force her to address that way! And the didi too probably feels, typically, anything but didi-ly towards the younger and thus potentially more powerful competitor in THAT KIND OF ARCANE MINDSET! It is amazing that in today's modern times, we are not questioning such time-bound, OLD society-bound suppostions about multiple wives! I would more readily accept the possibility that the 8th house perhaps represents better the SECOND whatever! Because the 8th represents the death of the reference house! Only when the first wife dies in flesh or in spirit does it make sense that the second option even comes to life! In jeeva or bhava or atma, the three aspects and layers of each of the 12 houses in the rashi chart! There are really 36 pigeon holes in the rashi chart and not just 12! Maybe more ...! I will shut up now! Sorry for stirring up the pond, yet again! But if there was no mud at the bottom, why would be stirring up anything, as we swim through these celestial waters?
