Tirisilex
Do you need to be like a Monk to be Krishna conscious? Guruvani
Do you need to be like a Monk to be Krishna conscious? Do I need to be elevated in status to be closer to Krishna or can I find Krishna as a person with no title?? Don't try to be closer to Krishna. Just try to be closer to the instructions of the acharyas. To be closer to Krishna is to be closer to the Holy Name of Krishna. The closer you are to the Holy Name, the closer you are to Krishna. Associating with devotees is helpful to encourage you to be closer to the Holy Name. Titles are generally awarded within the Vaishnava community to devotees who have shown certain standards in service and sadhana, so titles are generally a good sign that the devotee is learned and experienced and should be able to give you some good association. But, there are many nice devotees who don't have any title other than "dasa". Just look for the "dasa" title and then you should be in good company. mrs.moore
Do you need to be like a Monk to be Krishna conscious no you don't. you don't have to be like a nun either. Do I need to be elevated in status to be closer to Krishna you would be very elevated if you were close to god, but not everyone would be able to see it. like, if someone was close to god and they went into a department store, no-one would really care. but if someone was, say, a filmstar, their elevated status might be more recognisable to those people. or can I find Krishna as a person with no title?? krishna is god. a person with no title could help you find krishna.
