Guest guest
Sorry not to have said much on this; what is left to say in the face of such erudite commentary of the more knowledgeable sadhakas? Basically, I would say its a question left to the Guru. If s/he says it's okay to chant Sri Lalitha Sahasranama if a certain way, then it is, particularly if the purpose for the recitation is devotional and selfless in nature. There is no doubt, however, that injunctions and limitations exist. My guess is that these apply to those using the LSN for personal gain or particular worldly results. But again, who am I to say? Leave it to the guru. If Ammachi says "Go ahead and chant" and you consider her word to be authoritative, then go ahead and chant. That's all I can really say on the topic DB , Radhakrishnan J <jayaarshree wrote: > > Hi > What you two are doing .. keeping silent on this? > Having fun, it seems, watching us imbeciles rant on!!! > Come out of your slumber. Guest guest
In general, shanti sadhanas for nishkrama purposes are more open to all people to practice, whereas various prayogas and tantras demand specific approval from the guru if one is on a path. - "Devi Bhakta" <devi_bhakta > <> Monday, December 18, 2006 11:18 AM Re: Mantras (To Mahahrda and DB) > Sorry not to have said much on this; what is left to say in the face > of such erudite commentary of the more knowledgeable sadhakas? > > Basically, I would say its a question left to the Guru.
