Guest guest
Dear Group I have discussed long back about my wife's health. However I would like to discuss her chart again esp from her health perspective. She is suffering from prolactinomas for the last 6 years now. Prolatinoma is the enlargement of pituitary gland in the brain. She has been taking cabergoline drug for the last as many years which is keeing the enlargement in control. However due to the side effects of the drugs she is suffering from vomiting and stomach upset on a regular basis apart from lack of energy at all times. I would like to know is there a particular mantra or god she should worship. As her moon the lagna nakshatra lord is in mula – I have asked her to listen to rudra namakam, chamakam. Elderly members would request for your advise. The chart details is as follows, The birth details of my wife are as follows, DOB : 20.05.1973 POB : Mumbai Time of Birth : 07.02 am Her horoscope is as follows, Lagna – Taurus, rohini Sun,Mercury, Venus and Saturn in Taurus Jupiter - Capricorn Mars in Aquarius, Ketu – Gemini ( 3rd pada of Ardra) Rahu and Moon – Sagi with Moon in Mula Mercury is within a degree of sun, Saturn and Venus are away from Sun. In Navamsa, moon and venus are together in Taurus (thus venus is vargotama as well as Moon is exalted in Navamsa) PS: Dear Wendyji,Patrice - wishing you a merry and peaceful christmas Best Regards Nilesh
Guest guest
Dear Nilesh, Glands per se, as I'm sure you know, are under the governance of Moon. A prolactinoma however, is actually a prolactin-producing tumour of the pituitary gland. In your wife's chart both lagna and lagna lord occupy nakshatra of Moon who conjuncts Rahu in 8th house...vulnerable point, chronic ailments etc.. Further to this Moon's dispositor Jupiter (associated with tumours) is aspecting lagna from sign of debilitation. The 5 mukhi rudraksha is said to reduce the malefic effects of Jupiter. Brihaspati Puja is also recommended. Guest guest
Nilesh ji, You have said that your wife has been suffering for six years--did the problem begin in Surya - Budha, which started around 2/Oct/2000? Surya is in the 1st [head] and also rules the head in general. Budha is placed in the star of Surya, and is badly combust because he is within 1 degree of Surya. Surya is also conjunct 6th lord Sukra--who is placed in the star of Chandra, who rules glands--and aspected by Guru, the lord of the 8th house of chronic ailments. Personally, I think that it is best to propitate the lords of the 1st, the 5th or the 9th. However, here, the lord of the 1st also owns the evil 6th, while the lord of the 5th is badly combust. This leaves us with Sani, and I think that the mantra at http://www.brihaspati.net/sani.htm will help because: * Sani is the natural roga karaka, and worshipping him will reduce diseases in general. * Sani is the dispositor of Guru, who also has a role to play. * The Mantra specifically offers protection for Sani placed in the 12th, the 8th and the 1st--though it doesn't specify if the position is from Chandra or from Lagna, one could assume that it holds true from both Lagna and Chandra. * Luck is critical for overcoming problems in life--including diseases--and Sani owns the 9th. BTW, I find that 12th-lord Kuja is also aspecting Lagna--has this ailment caused hospitalization of your wife in Su-Bu-Ku [March 2001]? ~~~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan Author & Editor http://www.balaji.ind.in/ ~~~~~~~~~

Guest guest
Hi Balaji, I really donot know when it started - my guess it must have started after June 1999when our daughter was born. The manifestations of this disease is that serum prolactin levels rise which produce and increase lactation. Hence we didnot detect it till much letter. We detected it only in Jan 2001. Fortunately there has been no hospitalisation required so far apart from the MRI scans which donot require a stay at the hospital. Guest guest
Hi Dear Nilesh, Thank you for your Christmas wishes. Best of holiday wishes to you and your family as well. I am sorry to hear of your wife's illness and her suffering due to this. Thanks for sharing this info with us Nilesh. I have been checking and researching more information on both prolactinomas and the drug cabergoline. I'm sure you have kept close contact with the doctor on the effects of this drug on her and apparently they have decided to keep her on this for this many years. Apparently it is an ergot alkaloid drug. Alkalies in general are indicated by Mars (and Neptune) in my book here. This is interesting with respect to her chart as Mars and Ketu are both/only in Rahu stars. Mars is giving 4H aspect onto her first house, and Ketu in her 2H. Mars also giving 7H aspect onto 4H Leo, so Sun receiving this both ways. My book gives 4H for stomach disorders. (Stomachache itself is given as 6H, Virgo, and Saturn). Vomitting is given as: Moon, Leo and Saturn. Rahu also could be considered for this type of drug, don't you think? More thoughts; this drug is made from a fungus. Fungus would be indicated by Moon, (book also gives Neptune for fungus along with Moon). Pituitary gland in general in my book is listed as: Uranus, Jupiter, Scorpio, Neptune. Both Uranus and Neptune are not used in Jyotish. This is however interesting to me as I personally do use them with medical studies as for me I find them helpful in particular with health issues. And currently TJupiter is exactly on her natal Neptune. Also her progressed Vimsottari dasa Moon is at around 15.25 Capricorn, approaching her natal Jupiter. The pituitary gland is an endocrine gland, which my book gives for endocrine system and glands in general: Sun, Mars, Scorpio, Libra Endocrine imbalance is listed: Moon. And as Wendy has written, glands in general are also shown by Moon. Glandular system in general is given in my book as: Moon, Jupiter, Sun, Neptune and Saturn. Hormones, which is what prolactin is, are indicated singularly by Moon. Interestingly, again however, there is some connection to Sun as well, as the anterior lobe of the pituitary, is what produces this particular hormone, prolactin, and the anterior lobe is governed specifically by the Sun. Posterior is listed as Jupiter and Moon. As I first checked this chart, transiting Moon, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter all in Scorpio, 7H, transiting Sun, and lagnesh Venus both in 8H Sagittarius. I'm not sure why Mercury continues to appear significant in this but in both her natal chart, and in this transit chart, Mercury is conjoined with Sun in natal, and exactly with Moon in this transit chart. What would you think of this? Perhaps the contributing factor of the medicine she's taking?? 2H is owned by Mercury, as is 5H. I am showing 2 and 5 house cusps both in Rahu star. Would this then give us some indication of the benefit of chanting as well for this? I'm just sharing my thoughts here Nilesh. Not really helpful but trying to see more in the chart for more insight on this. I will continue to look further. Guest guest
Hi Patrice, Thanks for such a detailed mail. Frankly I was not aware of many things mentioned here including the medical aspect like the anterior part of the pituitary gland and that cabergoline is derived from a fungus.Neither was I aware of the Sun's link to the anterior part. The reason I think she has been kept on this drug ( half a pill per week of 0.5 mg ) is that in case discontinues the prolactin level used to rise in the past atleast. Now we have started with dostinex which is better than its indian version and want to see its effect.Hopefully with the medicine, astrological remedies and rudraksha things should be better. I need to digest your mail and will definitely come back with more questions. Wish you and your family a merry christmas and a happy New Year.
