Guest guest
We really enjoy spending our snowy evenings with the stove fire crackling while we visit the Mandir. Arati is very meaningful as we apply the knowledge that Surath shared so well. Tonight we wonder about the program that follows arati. We think we see Srini and Parvati doing the Guru Gita at the fire. Is that correct? Will there always be such a program? Is the program designed to fit the day? Thank you for sharing your worship with us! Love, Michael and Karen
Guest guest
Namaste Karen, Isn't it just amazing how the Mandir fills your house with those webcams! i know that when I am away being able to tune in is essencial. Regarding your question, we were in fact chanting the Guru Gita. Sometimes it is a suggestion by Maa or Swamiji that we chant a particular scripture (like the Kali Sahasranama on Amavasya) and other times it is an impromptu suggestion by one of the family members present. We have been chanting the Guru Gita quite often lately. Swamiji's class was very inspiring (at least to me). Remembering comments He made on particular stotrams brings the text alive even more. Let us know if you have the book and would like to chant along and we'll do it again tonight! Guest guest
Namaste Gauri, Thank you so very much for answering our question, and YES, YES, YES! We have the book. (We have at least one copy of everything that Devi Mandir has published so we are good to go any time.) We will be watching and following along tonight (as best we can). And once again, thank you. Sending warmth, love, and tender hugs, Michael and Karen , "gauri_108" <gauri_108 wrote: > > Namaste Karen, > > Isn't it just amazing how the Mandir fills your house with those > webcams! i know that when I am away being able to tune in is essencial. > Regarding your question, we were in fact chanting the Guru Gita. > Sometimes it is a suggestion by Maa or Swamiji that we chant a > particular scripture (like the Kali Sahasranama on Amavasya) and other > times it is an impromptu suggestion by one of the family members > present.
