Meaning:

Oh the One with the peeled skin of euphoric elephant! Oh shiva!

Oh God Who is the strength of the weak! Oh shiva!

Oh the Wisdom of the merciful devotees! Oh shiva!

Oh the clear Ambrosia! Oh shiva! Oh shiva!!

Notes:

1. shivakamiyANDAr was a devotee who had the

principle of offering pure and nice flowers to the

Lord pashupathIshvarar of karuvUr Anilai.

One day while he was bringing the flowers for the

Lord, the royal elephant of chOza king pulled his

flower pot and dumped in the street. The heart broken

devotee will cry to whom? He is crying out to

Lord shiva.
