Hello Steve and Awtar

In my work as a hypnotist I work for self-awareness exactly like what Steve

has posted here -- it is the dawn of empowerment on the issue. The

subconscious mind has created an enforcer to cause you to choose between

self-destructive behavior and life itself. Chances are you had many hints

and warnings before that, but because your body was letting you get away

with it, you didn't need to make the choice to do the lifestyle changes.

So your body said enough is enough, get with the program.

Remember that your body is your subconscious mind. As long as you need

enforcement to keep you on the straight and narrow, the diabetes will

remain. As Awtar said, you can't really get rid of an ally that's keeping

you alive. When my clients have situations such as this we work at meeting

the underlying need in some other, healthier way so the destructive

condition (in this case the diabetes) is no longer needed. People who have

done wrong in the past do eventually get off probation when they learn to

follow the rules without enforcers.

So you have to look at the benefit that diabetes is providing you, and it is

a very, very important one. Then you do some searching within and discover

what you would need to accomplish that same goal without the diabetes. What

feelings are lacking? What feelings exist in excess? What would you need

to release? What would you need to incorporate? Start there, and you will

find that the answers are easier to come by than you may think.
