Guest guest
Dear All, Member Nandini's message/reminder/question on Jyotish Remedies forum did bring me to the the question that may be worth exploring [psst -- if the monitors and I don't mean the CRT staring in my face (!) are on their coffee break! ;-) or should I have used the 0}B-> icon?] aren't around at this hour, that is! When it comes to memory which is so physical and yet not -- given the organic evidence of memory being connected to certain anatomical parts of the brain, mostly learned through experimentation on humans -- and life seen otherwise -- I do believe in the modern adage stated earlier, As Below So Above! Since I am not a fallen angel unlike some self-proclaimed ones, I must climb the tree the hard way and taste its fruit and as I climb higher and higher hopefully experience the ancient adage that has trickled down to us from many religions: As Above, So Below! Mercury/Budha and Moon/Chandra are the two indicators that the Large tent of astrology tends to associate with memory, although there may be other variant opinions which may think that just two planets may not be enough, given the complex phenomenon that memory represents! What do erudite members think about this matter? Once we figure out what truly represents worldly/physical memory, we can raise the octave higher and resonate with what represents the Higher Memory that encapsulates our Karma in its Time Capsule, if I may use that analogy! RR PS: This is important enough a question to be X-posted and it shall be.
Guest guest
Hello, With reference to current topic of Discussion memory VS Memory I do totally agree with you that mercury and moon rules human memory and brain . But I don’t know or whether I am right or wrong that how far is Neptune playing role in this area, since Neptune is associated with illusion, deception, religions, spirituality extreme sensitivity, psychic phenomena and altered mental states. So I request respected members to throw more light on my words Yogita Rohiniranjan <jyotish_vani (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: Dear All, Member Nandini's message/reminder/question on Jyotish Remedies forum did bring me to the the question that may be worth exploring [psst -- if the monitors and I don't mean the CRT staring in my face (!) are on their coffee break! ;-) or should I have used the 0}B-> icon?] aren't around at this hour, that is! Guest guest
Dear Yogita, Hello. Neptune is not considered in Indian astrology for predictive purposes. But it ws known by the sahges and is referred to as Varuna in the Shastras. It is Co-ruler of the Sign Pisces and is strong in the 12th house. It is said to be exalted in Cancer. It was discovered in 1846 by the Moderns. It is the higher octave of Mercury and exerts an inspirational influence over the Mind and correponds to the higher vibrations of Mercury. Its ionfluence is Psychic and spiritual and tends to involuntary clairvoyance, mediumship, psychic diseases and weird states of the human mind. Neptune acts upon the Nervous system and also upon the Moral and spiritual nature. It acts strongly upon the Pineal gland, which is the seat of Spiritual and intuitive centre in the brain and greatly influences emotions and especially in religious matters. To those of us who can respond to the higher forces of Neptune , good aspects to Sun,Moon or Mercury can enhance the spiritual and psychic powers and can confer foresight and power to discern truth, to attune one with the occult and esoteric secrets of nature. But to most of us, it is a planet of chaos, doubt, fear, fraud and deception. If afflicted,it makes the native rather licentious, lascivious, addicted to abusive use of drigs, narcotics and alcohol, seduction, perversity, passionate excesses, immoral environments and unwise entanglements with low company. When afflicted in th 12th house, it brings sorrows, troubles, and self- undoing of the native. When it occupies the 7th,there is always likelihood of some treachery, fraud or deceit in marriage or other partnerships. The diseases of Neptune chiefly manifest upon the mind and the Nervous system.,the emotions. It affects the nebulous areas and tends to affect the eys and eyesight, and also causes depression. In such cases teatment can be made on lines of psychic and spiritual minitoring , provided the healer has full knowledge of the astral ody and its influences. Thus Neptune certainly has effect on the Human mind and Mental emotional states. Guest guest
Dear Yogita, Your research/experiment-minded nature is obvious! I am sure you will get many answers to this question as you would have if you asked about ayanamsha :-) Why not pick a few charts of well-known individuals (well-known to you, that is!) and see if neptune adds a useful flavour to the mix or not. The problem with transsaturnines is that they are kind of 'outsiders' -- they do not have a representation in the nakshatras or nakshatra dashas. But you can probably try and see if they fit in the rashi dasha schemes to see for instance if during the chara dasha of the sign they are in, was there an additional nuance, etc.? Neptune does sound at times to have a nature/attribute similar to ketu in its mystic, nebulous, presentation. Or perhaps a moon smitten by ketu would be more appropriate. Mind you, I am just thinking aloud! Similarly rahu would probably be closer to uranus in nature in its directness, its representation of the other cultures, science, invention etc. I have some thoughts about pluto too but this is not the right forum to discuss that, yet. Guest guest
I concur, Sir, the nodes seem to have an eerie linkage with the Uranus and Neptune impact in Tropical Astrology. Pluto....throw the suggestion please rishi , "Rohiniranjan" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > Dear Yogita, > > Your research/experiment-minded nature is obvious! Guest guest
I would reckon that a good place to start will be when as per the Chara dasha scheme (Parashara/Jaimini), ketu becomes the lord of scorpio. Kujawata ketu makes sense in that perspective. Apply the same for rahu for its consideration in chara.
