Hello All,

I wanted to find out if the choice of Ayanamsa (Raman/Lahiri etc) is a

trial and error process. I am finding that my moon sign is Pisces

according to Raman's and Yukteswar's ayanamsa and Aquarius according

to Lahiri. Which one is correct choice and why.

My birth details are:

Time: 00:30

31 Oct 1971

Place: Guntur, Andhra Pradesh,India (80E27 and 16N18)

Kindly analyze this information.

Thanks,

Kishore

Hello.

If You give a list of instances alongwith dates of occurences

like getting in job, leaving, marriage, when first child or next born,

any accidents, hospitalisations, and all major or minor but different

than normal occurences spread over the span of 35 years, then maybe

a assesment can be attempted., as regards to the ayanasmha.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Sir how can one incident enable one to fix a important aspect such as

ayanamsha where your Moon sign changes ? We have other ways too to

judge, but why to excersise on those, when You are available here in

person to guide us. Surely you must have seen ups and downs in

career, Life cannot be too ordinary for anyone without incidents.

You must have done some schooling also and must have failed or passed

in a particular year when you were out, or must have attained a

degree in a particular year. Your younger sister born would be seen

much better in your parents chart . You have to help us to help

yourself.

Please give some more inputs.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Kishore,

If You are not looking for detailed proof of my statement, then I

would say that Your Moon is in Acquarius. 29.33' I use

KP Ayanamsha, which is nearer to Lahiris and used almost universally.

If I talk more on ayanamshas, it may create differences, because

everyone has his own favourite one, and each is getting results as

per his own. Here I respect all the astrologers mostly and do not

want to enter into any type of arguments or unnecessary discussions

with them.

So we shall leave it ,but if you need proof and further explanation,

then I would need lot many dates from you to do the explaining.

One of the other ways you may check is to see the results of Moon in

Acquarius and moon in pisces. Which one matches better to you,

take it. Moon in Acquarius for example would have given you trouble

in health at birth and also not a very strong constitution over all.

Moon in Pisces is a cakewalk for you. Moon in Acquarius for instance

may have given you lots of ill health from May 1976 onwards. Also

same results from 1989 December onwards. Again November 2004

onwards lots of obstructions in career too plus illhealth. Thus

You may check other significances too and judge accordingly.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Yes Kishore ji,

It is a trial and error process, but you got to begin somewhere!

Generally questions like yours assume that there is some perfect one

and only ayanamsha which we all are looking for.

If you do some 'active' listening on forums and read articles and

books, you will soon come to have the feeling that indeed ayanamsha is

something that has got to be exact or else -- astrology stands on

styrofoam and not the bedrock everyone believes it to stand on.

However, astrology if you care to explore and experience will be seen

NOT to be that black and white or simple. There are thousands of

yogas, even excluding the ones that are 'new' inventions. But they

only work in some charts and not others.

Your best bet is to explore the question yourself rather than taking

the easy way out by asking others. You will get many answers and

recommendations and will just get more confused or become a sceptic.

But if you research and test it yourself then even if you become a

sceptic or non-believer in astrology it will be your personal INFORMED

decision and not based on hearsay! If you choose the easy path, you

will come back to the question again and again and like sitting in a

rocking chair, you will be moving a lot, but going nowhere!

Makes sense?
