Sun transits Sagittarius, from 12:23 to 19:31°, outside the orb of influence of other planets. Sun is ruled by a strong Jupiter. This brings good fortune relative to gold, fathers, leaders, physicians, and governments.

Moon is waxing and transits Pisces, Aries, Taurus and Gemini. Moon, in Aries, is under the aspect of Ketu, Dec. 30. Moon, in Taurus, is exalted Dec. 30 - Jan. 1, under the aspect of Jupiter, Dec. 31, and Mars, Jan. 1. The new Moon is in Gemini, Jan. 3, under the aspect of Mercury and Rahu.

Mercury transits Sagittarius, from 06:38 to 17:44°, and is combust until Jan. 28.
