HARE RAMA KRISHNA !! ]] Dandawat Pranam Gurujis, I am just newbie in this subject I heard like this if we learn Astrlogy it will give bad luck(we r going to loosing our wealth etc) is it true.this statement is given by an astrologer at hyd. if this statement is true then why? if not plz Gurujis provide where books(P Rao's and BV Raman,S.rath's books) are avilabe in Hyderabad,pune.i saw these books are not available everywhere. Jyotish is a Vedanga, a limb of study which is a preliminary requirement to study the vedas. Nowadays however, some consider it to be a sadhana all on its own. Some make thousands of dollars doing it, and become 'happy' that way. The thing to remember is, it's all about what you do with it and that there is always karma formed between whoever you choose to counsel and yourself. Best is to do it detachedly, without expecting anything in return and to always excercise proper judgement in whatever readings you may give. I think the only way to do it safely is with a strong spiritual sadhana program consisting of many hours of naam japa. In our Gaudiya Tradition, Srila Rupa Goswami has written in his Namastakam-- yad-brahma-sAkzAt-krti-nizTHayApi vinASaw AyAti vinA na bhogaiH apaiti nAma! sphuraNena tat te prArabdha-karmeti virauti vedaH Oh nAma! The vedAs loudly declare that even without a devotee undergoing any suffering, his prArabdha-karma, which cannot be eliminated even by resolute meditation on impersonal Brahman, is at once mitigated by Your appearance on the tongue. So, I advise anyone who practices jyotish to always have a strong sadhana program. My point is sadhana is something rigid, where as learners do not need sadhana that much. With strong sadhana program has nothing to do with learning vedic astrology. The strong sadhana program only enhance once ability to grasp the finer poits in vedic astrology.This can also help giving good remedies to the problem.
