Guest guest
Our humble obeisances! Jaya Sri Sri Guru Gauranga! You will find attached to this text issue #143 of Sri Krishna Kathamrita Bindu. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ IN THIS ISSUE ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ * "External Dress is Not Our Concern" - His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada speaks about preaching and the external symbols of sannyasa. * "Krishna-katha is Life" - Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami describes the importance of Krishna-katha. * "Mahaprabhu's Mercy on Gopal Bhatta Goswami" - A special offering in honor of the upcoming appearance day of Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami. This newly translated excerpt, done especially for Bindu, comes from the medieval Gaudiya Vaishnava book, Karnananda. The author Yadunandan Das describes the meeting of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Gopal Bhatta Goswami. Special thanks to Sriman Krishna Balaram Prabhu for his help with translation. We hope to see more of Krishna Balaram Prabhu's translations in the future. * "The Meeting of Parshuram and Lord Ramachandra" - Part three of a six-part series of English poetry by the late Christian missionary Reverend A. G. Atkins. In this installment, Lakshman continues to speak insolent and sarcastic words to the proud Parshuram. * "The Highest Ecstasy" - A verse from Srila Rupa Goswami's Padyavali. We pray that this issue may bring some happiness and inspiration to the Vaishnavas who are preaching the mission of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Das anudas abhas, Madhavananda Das, editor ------------------------- COMING IN OUR NEXT ISSUE: ------------------------- Bindu 144 will include some special prayers to Adwaita Acharya Prabhu, whose appearance is coming up. ======== COMMENTS ======== I don't have any qualification to glorify Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja, but his books are wonderful and very deep in prema-bhakti. I love his English and the examples he uses are very appropriate to the particular situations. In the same way I like the Bindu. It is the sweetest. -- Devaki Sundari Dasi, Chennai Your publication contains a lot of valuable articles and is very easy to receive through email. -- Biren, ISKCON Manipur I enjoy reading all of the articles.
