Guest guest
Last night was another unique experience at Devi Mandir. I am convinced that every "visit" has its own flavor, and last night was no exception. There were about a dozen devoteess along with Maa and Swamiji and member of the band. The cameras weren't on the band last night so I don't know how many there were. When I say about a dozen people, I mean the ones that you could see in the camera. There always seem to be lots of people out of camera view. It was very lively last night! There was arati and singing. Maa led the singing. After a bit, Maa left and maybe some other people did, too. Then the chanting began with Ganesh and Shiva mantras. After that Swamiji led in the Lalita Trisati (from The Guru and the Goddess). There was a discussion after the chanting. Swamiji is always so HAPPY and shares the greatest knowledge. Srini asked some questions (was he reading our minds?), and it was an inspirational exchange. Swamiji always mentions the viewers so we all feel part of the experience, and that's really nice. I am forever impressed with the meld of formal tradition and informal friendliness found at Devi Mandir. The best of both worlds. Thanks over and over and over to the Devi Mandir Family for expanding their hearts into our home! Love, Michael and Karen
