Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, is having a contest in which it will match donations up to $50,000 for the top ten "Charity Badges" that have the greatest number of individual donors by Dec 31. That means we could raise $100,000!! So far, the top runner only has 324 donations. Now, I know there were that many squeezed into the left balcony alone at Devi Bhava last month! Even if you only donate the minumum $10, you count as one vote. (For more info on the contest, see http://promotions./giving/topten.php). **More importantly, to make a donation, go to the charity badge I created for the M.A. Center: http://www.networkforgood.org/pca/PersonalCharityBadge.aspx?pcaid=100414 And please forward this to satsangs in other cities and friends as you are able. With everyone's effort, we can succeed. Jai Ma! Shin Shin
Guest guest
namah shivaya, this looks great. non-US-resident devotees seem not to be able to donate through this medium, though. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, This sounds like a great idea but it needs to be run by the National Coordinators for fundraising for the M.A. Center. Our fundraising program guidelines were set up to protect M.A. Center as well as the donors. They probably are the ones who have to set up the "badge" for this program and approve it. You should probably send the info to donations (AT) ammachi (DOT) org and David Ginsberg and Steve at daginsberg (AT) aol (DOT) com Hopefully then we can get this listed onto our Satsang groups, etc with their permission. thanks again for bringing this idea to us. Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya. There are only a few days left for this program. One would have to participate now in order for this to be successful. Sometimes you need to just follow your heart. This could fit into the innocent desire category? Yes? Would our Mother turn away this one's sweet project and gift to Her? It is like bringing Her a drawing that you made for Her or something you made in Arts and Crafts....( We were all kids once, weren't we? Now just Kids in grown up bodies.) She is the Divine Mother!!!!!! Amma is teaching us to be independent and use our own discrimination for our lives and spiritual journey. Ultimately, One must Follow the Self..and that may mean to follow the beat to a different drum from time to time. As long as you are not creating harm to yourself or another. (Although this is tricky as well, as sometimes we must follow a certain path of growth that we cannot bring everyone we know along with us!) We walk among others on our Journey to the Self, we share in this Journey when we worship with others, but ultimately Each One Walks through the Door to the Divine On Their OWN and learns surrender alone. Guest guest
my 2cents: this seems like a fun contest and harmless enough for Amma devotees to participate in as long as you don't donate your whole life savings and have expectations i FW'ed this post to my email list without concerns Amma Bless, amarnath Ammachi, Stacee Kramer <stacee.kramer wrote: > > Om Namah Shivaya. > > There are only a few days left for this program. Guest guest
This sounds great. When you say you set this up for the MA Center, was this done with their permission and consent? Are they helping to organize and further this? I would imagine with their mailing list, it could be easy to be the forerunner. Jai Maa!
