Guest guest
Dear List members, It appears somebody is emulating my sharma.chandrashekhar id and sending mails with attachment from it. This might have happened when I was using my Brother-in-law's PC at Indore. Please do not open any attachments if they come from that id. Guest guest
Chandrashekhar ji, This usually results from a virus in the pc, which copies the address book and sends out infected emails. If you could request your Bro-in-law to have his pc scanned for viruses, it will help. The list usually deletes all attachments anyway but one can get them on personal ids, depending upon whoever you sent emails to when using the infected pc. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Dear Sharat, I already asked my brother-in-law to get his PC scanned for virus. Thank you for the suggestion. Guest guest
Hello, You may also want to download and install a free antivirus, such as avast: click the link "Avast antivirus" at the end of this email. -- Regards, François - Sharat Friday, December 29, 2006 1:22 PM Re: Mail from my sharma.chandrashekhar account Chandrashekhar ji, This usually results from a virus in the pc, which copies the address book and sends out infected emails. Guest guest
Dear Francois, That was about my brother-in-law's PC. I have AVG anti virus installed and regularly update it. I think that is why, the mail was only received on my own id as my address book does not seem to have been accessed by who ever was the virus writer. Regards, Chandrashekhar.
