Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji and respected members Some say Subramanya is not a brahmachari - pls read my views. Subrahmanya is Devasenapathi having the fire and energy to lead the army towards (moksha)?.He is representative of celibacy. In kerala i haven't seen Subrahmanya worshipped with consorts. In Tamilnadu ,Devesena and Valli are often depicted as consorts. But i feel these are representations. For example he is the pathi(chief) of devasena(army of devas).Pathi means husband and hence Devasenapathi can be interpreted as consort. Similarly in our local language ''Valli'' means a thread or creeper.Valli can thus be the nadis (either of ida or pingala or both) creeping Sushumna.Fire/Mars is Sushumna and hence represents the path of Subrahmanya. Thus Valli becomes his ''consort''. There is also a myth related to shoorapadma demon and Subrahmanya.Rahu/Ketu story is identical. My undertsanding of Rahu/Kethu myth (with blessings of Guru Mantras) is the following. Please see my next mail. Thanks Pradeep
Guest guest
Dear Pradeep ji, When in 2005 May i visited kuke subrahmanya, one of the priest told me that lord was married to daughter of indra,I asked him in Nasik in one temple why the darshan of deity is banned for ladies, He said there are some secrect , and that he was not permitted to discuss. As per his saying his consort was daughter of Indra. I saw rain cloud laden with water over the hills behind his abode with surprise pointing the mystery. With love. Guest guest
Dear Srivastava ji & Bhaskar ji Kindly call me pradeep.I will feel comfortable if Bhaskar ji and others may drop the ji. Thanks for the information got from the priest.Your mail made me read more on indra and devayanai, devasena etc.One story says, two daughters of Mahavishnu(Sundaravalli and Amudavalli) wanted to marry a person without anger,Subramanya. These two were then born as Devasena and Valli.Devasena as daughter of Indra and Valli as daughter of a tribal Kuravan. Now yesterday we only had one Valli, but today with your help we have two Vallis, making me more confident on what this Valli is about. It is my feeling and please give it a thought. Mars is mentioned in astrological texts as ''Satwa Aham Budhi'' - ie the one with similar feeling during pain and pleasure. Thus the two Vallis were longing for Subramanya which is none other than Agni or Mars.Their marriage is the merger of sun/moon/agni and Valli of tribal origin is Moon and deva is Sun.Thus with Lords grace i feel, all these are pointing towards the ida/pingala and Sushumna nadis.Mars the Agni is needed to raise the energy and the Vel or spear is showing the upward movement of shakthi.Muruga is thus special a very special icon and tamil literature is brilliant too. Something personal to share regarding our devotion towards Murukan- While carrying me,my mother made a wish that she will take me to KumaraKoil in Tamilnadu(neighbouring state for us) and make me dance with kavadi(which is made out of Peacock feather)- a ceremony common in Tamilnadu. We have no links in Tamilnadu.I do remember our family going to Kumarakoil, once i was 5 or 6 years old.Recently i had asked my mother why she had made such a wish..she said for no reason..she just felt like that. She is Pushyam or Pooyam Nakshathram. We have a Muruka temple next to our house as well. In kerala women do worship Muruka and observe shashti Vratham. We pray that Lord will be kind enough to give us more knowledge so that we could learn and gain mutually from each other. Thanks and respects Pradeep > Yes Subramanya or Kartikheyaji (Son of Lord Shiva and Parvati Maa) > was married to the daughter of Indra whose name was Devasena and also > one more wife whose name was Vallim or Valli (I do not know properly), > But what mystery was pointed with the rain clouds ? > > regards, > Bhaskar. > > > > , "R.C.Srivastava" <swami_rcs@> > wrote: > > > > > > Dear Pradeep ji, > > When in 2005 May i visited kuke subrahmanya, one of the priest told > me > > that lord was married to daughter of indra,I asked him in Nasik in > > one temple why the darshan of deity is banned for ladies, He said > > there are some secrect , and that he was not permitted to discuss. > > As per his saying his consort was daughter of Indra. > > I saw rain cloud laden with water over the hills behind his abode > > with surprise pointing the mystery. > > With love. > > RCS > > > > > > > > , "vijayadas_pradeep" > > <vijayadas_pradeep@> wrote: > > > > > > Dear Bhaskar ji and respected members > > > > > > Some say Subramanya is not a brahmachari - pls read my views. > > > > > > Subrahmanya is Devasenapathi having the fire and energy to lead > the > > > army towards (moksha)?.He is representative of celibacy. In kerala > i > > > haven't seen Subrahmanya worshipped with consorts. > > > In Tamilnadu ,Devesena and Valli are often depicted as > consorts. But > > i > > > feel these are representations. For example he is the pathi (chief) > > of > > > devasena(army of devas).Pathi means husband and hence > Devasenapathi > > > can be interpreted as consort. > > > > > > Similarly in our local language ''Valli'' means a thread or > > > creeper.Valli can thus be the nadis (either of ida or pingala or > > both) > > > creeping Sushumna.Fire/Mars is Sushumna and hence represents the > > path > > > of Subrahmanya. Thus Valli becomes his ''consort''. > > > > > > There is also a myth related to shoorapadma demon and > > > Subrahmanya.Rahu/Ketu story is identical. My undertsanding of > > Rahu/Kethu > > > myth (with blessings of Guru Mantras) is the following. Please see > > my > > > next mail. > > > > > > Thanks > > > Pradeep > > > > > >
