Guest guest
Namaste The Devi Mandir has a wonderful book which Swami and Shree Maa translated called: Kali Puja. It can be purchased from www.shreemaa.org . There is also a CD of Shree Maa chanting the 1000 names of Kali. It too can be purchased at Her web site. The book has all the mantras to worship Kali, including a short puja which takes about 30 minutes and a longer puja for advanced worshipers. It describes how to worship, when to worship, and what articles to offer. It has the 1000 names of Kali. It has Sankrit, transliteration, and English for every mantra and name. The main Kali mantra in this text is: "Om Hrim Srim Krim Paramesvari Kalike Svaha" You can worship Her anytime, dressed comfortably, with your wife or alone, and you do not have to fast. It is best to worship Her at your altar, where you can worship undisturbed, but you can worship Her anywhere. Once you begin any puja, it is best to complete the entire puja, whether the short or long version, in order to gain the fruits of the puja. There are certain times of the month when it is most auspicious to worship Her, and I will have to ask Swami for those days. I will post his answer. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Namaste,R.N.Sairaam, The Kali CD is very useful for using to go along with the 1000 Names of Kali. The tune is so so beautiful...it sounds like Mother singing a lullaby to Her Children.
