Every one is saying New Year, Wish you a Very Happy New Year. Actually New Year is not meant for us, this is according to Western culture, but still we should celebrate this because to take a vow and commitment for progress in spiritual life. That should be the motive. Frankly speaking every day for us is a new day, in order to execute our spiritual commitments. Many people celebrate this new year in many ways, 1) People sit in house eat, watch TV and sleep. 2) Go to Pub and discothick and enjoy. All 4 kalis are present there. These people are called Kali-Chelas. 3) Some doesn't celebrate. Like this there are many ways, but a devotee of the Lord or trying to be a devotee of the Lord should always enjoy by chanting the holy names of the Lord. Not only one day but every day. That is the difference between Spiritual and Material. The only way to remember to Lord is by chanting the Holy Names. That is recommended in all the scriptures. It is a fact. In Brhad Naradiya Purana it is said "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare iti sodasakam namnam kali kalmasa nasanam natah parataropaya sarva vedesu drusyate" Like this there are many references in various scriptures stressing on chanting of the holy names of the Lord. Let us take this process of chanting the Holy names of the Lord and make this New Year an unforgettable year and we can see the miracle.
