Guest guest
I mention this because Saturn in the seventh in Cancer is one of the exceptions. R. Lakshmanan quotes from Phaladeepika, saying that when Saturn is with Mars in Cancer "the native's wife is chaste and fortunate." --Radha , "D Ramapriya" <ramapriya.d wrote: > > On 1/1/07, aphoton47 <aphoton wrote: > > > > Dr. Jaiswal, > > > > Sani in the 7th house in Cancer will give a good looking, hard-working > > and devoted partner. Guest guest
Ramapriya, You should ask that question of someone who actually has that combination. Guest guest
Dear Sri Chandrasekhar (and others), I would like to share the following details of my own horoscope, for the benefit of fellow astrologers. You were right in asserting that Saturn in the 7th gives strength in general, and if it is his own or exaltation sign, he also gives Sasa Maha Purusha Yoga. I have this combination in my own horoscope, Saturn in 7th in Capricorn. I am listing down here, the influences of Saturn as felt by me during my life so far. - I got married at very right age (around 24 yrs) and hence cannot be said as late marriage. - I have a very happy and stable marriage for over 20 years so far and is continuing. - I neither have intention or desire or need to have another marriage. - Both myself and my wife are spiritually oriented and strictly self- disciplined - We have three children, two daughters and a son. - All our children have prominent Saturn in their horoscopes, a property inherited from parents' horoscopes. - Except minor health problems common to a majority of people, both my wife and I are healthy - All my educational and professional achievements were/are during Saturn periods. - I got my academic achievement in one of the premier institutions of India, IIT Kharagpur. Specific influences of Saturn: ------------ - Saturn gave me directional strength, which (as quoted by an experienced astrologer) means he directs the events in my life (or steers/guides the direction of my life). - I love old people, talking and spending time with old people. In public gatherings, I spend more time with old people, and spend less time with younger generation particularly those who look or act or talk modern (with a very cheap opinion on traditions). It is just my characteristic. - I do not personally like those people, who ignore old people, and those ignore traditional practices. Such is the influence of Saturn (from 7th house) on my Lagna. - I have been branded in my friends' circle, as an orthodox person and not willing to accept modern practices. Yes, I am orthodox and I value traditional practices very much. I do not accept a change unless the change is inevitable, or is really worthy. I do not run (or race) with the technology, as far as implementing technology to myself. Though, I am myself a technical person and do a lot of contribution to the field of technology. Saturn is a technical planet and gave me higher education in technology only, I am Engineer from IIT Kharagpur. - I am extremely hardworking, as made by Saturn by his aspect on my lagna, as well as Saturn is in the nakshathra of Lagna Lord Moon (Sravanam nakshathram). Strangely there is a kind of parivarthana, with Lagna being in the nakshathram of Saturn (Pushyami nakshatram). - I love people who put hard-work for growth, rather than those who dream of a dawn of fortune overnight. - I am irritated by any system that is either inconvenient to general masses (or public), or something that seems doing injustice to masses - notice that Saturn represents masses and I have this influence very much in myself. - Most turning points in my life occurred during periods of Saturn - also note that Saturn is my 8th lord, and 8th lord brings drastic and irreversible changes (which I call as turning points in my life). - Saturn in 7th gives a very balanced thinking mind; kind of applying justice in many directions. Everything before I do, I check from different directions; whether my action was going to cause injustice to any section of people. - Generally people love to (or attracted to) interact with me (generally all categories of people), but particularly old people. Such is the attraction of people with Saturn aspecting lagna (and also lagna lord) and in a kind of parivarthana yoga with lagna as mentioned above. - The only malefic incident that happened in my life was, that my wife had a terrible car accident in one Saturn antardasha (a few yrs ago), but finally everything ended normal without any loss of life to anyone involved - some financial loss, which is of course typical of such an event. - You were right in saying that Saturn gives good results when he is stronger (than weaker). Strangely, Saturn is a malefic for Karkataka lagna, but due his sterngth in my horoscope, he gave me spectacular results. Bottom line: ------------------ - Saturn in the 7th is not an easy thing to cope with; but once we do; we see the best side of life (and shine like a diamond) and I term it as a boon, and not a curse, particularly, if it is his own house or exaltation sign. For my own reasons, I do not wish to share more details of my horoscope; sharing just Saturn-specific results only to add my experiences to this thread. Best regards. Guest guest
Dear Sri Sairamanji, Thanks for expressing your opinion and I regard your experience. I just shared my own experiences and personally believe that those having strong Saturn (particularly in a kendra) will have slow and steady growth (since Saturn is a slow moving planet) but whatever they gain (Saturnian experience) will last forever. Guest guest
I am not an atrologer at all, but the wife of one! I would say that astrology can not really work well with statistics because though a combination or yoga may exist in many charts there is still the REST of the horoscope that would affect it. Mandakini - aphoton47 Thursday, January 04, 2007 10:07 AM Re: What effect will Shani give in 7 th house ,in Capricon ascendent(shani is lo Ramapriya, How did you compile your 4,000 chart database? Did you purchase the data from Astrodatabank? I find that it is very difficult to prove the validity of astrology with statistics. It works in individual instances but it is very difficult to generalize. For every horoscope where an astrological combination works, there are scores where the it fails completely. Guest guest
Ramapriya, How did you compile your 4,000 chart database? Did you purchase the data from Astrodatabank? I find that it is very difficult to prove the validity of astrology with statistics. It works in individual instances but it is very difficult to generalize. For every horoscope where an astrological combination works, there are scores where the it fails completely. Guest guest
In other words nothing would work in isolation. Guest guest
The sign occupied by Saturn also seems important - Capricorn is fixed, conservative and the results below seem to agree with that. In other signs, the effects of Saturn should vary. I have only 1 chart to contribute where Saturn is in the 7th house in Libra. The lady had a long and happy married life with a successful husband. The husband however was involved with extra marital affairs and the marriage broke up with a lot of trauma. However, she is in another happy partnership now. During her first marriage her husband was very critical of her and her second partner is very supportive. , "Satya Sai Kolachina" <skolachi wrote: > > Dear Sri Chandrasekhar (and others), > > I would like to share the following details of my own horoscope, for > the benefit of fellow astrologers. > > You were right in asserting that Saturn in the 7th gives strength in > general, and if it is his own or exaltation sign, he also gives Sasa > Maha Purusha Yoga.
