Guest guest
Namaste A joyfull crowd of devotees gathered at the Mandir and hooted and sang and danced and performed homa with Maa and Swami. It was an incredible 3 days, thought it seemed like a week. Guests came for a retreat and left smiling from ear to ear. Maa and Swami gave so may blessings we were in bliss. I hope you all watched and listened. It was incredible. Jai Maa Jai Swami Happy New Year Love vish
Guest guest
Namaste' and Happy New Year... Since I was one of those who was blessed to attend the retreat I thought I would write and share some of my experiences with the group. First I would like to give my thanks to all the devotee's who make us guests feel so welcome. It always feels like a homecoming when I arrive and I especially bow down in deep gratitude to Maa and Swamiji for allowing us to sit at their feet and share in sadhana with them in their home. One story I thought you all might enjoy... Maa and Swamiji gave us each an orange tee shirt and asked us to wear them, so that evening we all gathered in the temple wearing our shirts. When Maa and Swamiji came in they went directly into Maa's little room, and when they came out a couple of minutes later Maa was wearing an orange shirt and had an orange turban wrapped around her head. She was definitely the sweetest, cutest, most adorable swami imaginable! Everyone melted with love for Her. We took a lot of pictures, sang, danced, and had the most marvelous time with our Divine Mother! A story of something that happened for me on a personal level that I would like to share involves another club member who wasn't there and I give thanks for his inadvertant participation in this. Sunday morning I was down at Napeshwar with some other devotees for Siva puja and my mind kept telling me to offer a song I know. Being a bit shy I kept telling myself no. But it obviously wasn't me saying it because as soon as I wasn't paying attention I heard myself saying "would you like to hear a song I know about Siva"? Of course everyone said yes so I sang. The song is an adaptation of Lord of the Dance and the words were written and posted a couple of years ago on this club (thank you Len!). So one of the devotees who heard me, told another devotee who, when I approached Maa for a blessing later, told Her that I had a song to sing for Siva. Something that was very interesting was that typically when I am going to be singing solo I get very nervous, but that evening I just felt a bit shy, but not my usual stagefright. I had passed out words to the song so others could join me, and practiced a little with one of the musicians, but when I started to sing I just let the song flow through me and to my surprise, I wasn't very nervous at all. I know that I wasn't the one singing and that this song sang itself for the pleasure of Maa and Siva. It was a very freeing experience for me personally and I'm very happy to have been the vehicle for it. Anyway, the weekend was so fun, so joyful and beautiful. It was the best New Year's ever and I know that the year will be filled with blessings for all of us. I give thanks to everyone in this group for the devotion and love you share everyday. I bow down over and over to Shree Maa and Swamiji.
