Garudaseva at Muscat

Respected Swamins, Adiyen very glad to inform all of you that the

Garudasevai on Sri Vaikunta Ekadasi was a grand success. It was planned to

conduct just a week ago and Bhagavan has given us the great opportunity to

conduct the garudaseva very first time in any Gulf country. When we planned

for that we were afraid whether we can meet the expectation of the devotees.

But everyone performed their contribution in a best way. So that the

Garudaseva was a grand success. The vahanam work was done by Sri.Sridhar and

his team within a short time. Garudan was contributed by Sri.Kannan of Sohar

(plaster of paris). Serankulam Chetlur Sri.Venkatesan (Alico) was leading us

and always encouraging us to work more and more. Friday night Mohanavatharam

was performed. Vaikunta-ekadasi day morning navakalasa tirumanjanam was

performed in adiyen's house along with Sri.Nammalwar. In the evening exactly

at 6.15 the purappadu was started. The big auditorium was really full and we

did not expect such a huge crowd. All Smarthas and Srivaishnavas were in

panchakachcham and pundram and ladies were in madisar. The todakkam was

started with Alwar mariyadai (pushpasaram and Satari). Pallandu was started

followed by Kanninunsiruthambu, Nammalwar thaniyan then only Uyarvara

pasuram was recited. Then Tiruchinnamalai was started. Meantime

Vedaparayanam was also performed. The purappadu was performed for 45 min.

Then Perumal reached the staged mangala harathi was performed. After mangala

harathi Sri Vishnusahasranamam was performed. Meantime adiyen and Sri.

Purasai Ananthan performed Sahasranama Archana. Then nivedanam of laddu and

Sundal prepared by Sravanam goshti, then mangalaharath After that devotees

of ISKON movement performed Bhajans for 20 min. followed by Namasankirthanam

performed by Smt. Jyothi balaji, Sri.Santhanam, Sri.Raman and party up to

10.00pm. The hall was full with devotees. The way was left in the middle for

the devotees (who want to go home early) to come close to the stage to have

darsan. The Namasankirthanam was finished at 10.00 with Mangalaharathi.

While distribution of Tirtham, prasadam, laddu and sundal the ISKON

devottees performed bhajan with dance in group. Around 80 devotees along

with other were dancing. The whole hall was dancing that time. Since we had

to vacate the hall at 10.30 we closed the programme and devotees went home

with fully charged. The photos will be sent for your view as early as

possible. The vadaimalai for Hanuman is also performed at the beginning. The

kainkaryam of Sri.Venkatesan, Sri.Sriram, Sri.Ananthan, Sri.Sridhar.

Sri.Rajan and others (the list is very long) are highly praisable. Adiyen

request Divyadampathi to bless everyone and give us more strength

to organise this every year.
