Terrible Career and on the point of financial breakdown

Dear Sir and respected members,

I am presently going through and have gone through a tough period in

my career. I am an engineering graduate, but do not seem to find

satisfaction in my career. I try to change jobs but haven't gotten

the proper break in my career which strains my finances and mind.

 

I can only sincerely ask for your guided help in knowing weather I

would be able to grow in my career and improve my finanical position

and weather I can expect a high position. I have struggled hard thus

far and results have been minial.

 

Perhaps it is due to the presence of ketu in the 10th house. However

I wuold much appreciate if you can throw some light. It would help

much (weather postive or negative) to learn as to why this is

happening.

Dear Anandji,

 

Thanks for the kind words about my horoscope. I cannot excatly

pinpoint a particular day as to the problems have started hwoever

they have gradually built over time.

 

I took much debt (student loans considering I live in canada to fund

my education and I trust every student take it in the western world

to complete his education)

 

However as it stand thus far, my job has been involving me with

things I do no enjoy, for instance my degree is in mech and chemical

engineering but working in the electrical dept which prevent my

growth since the concepts are unfamiliar to me. My bosses do not help

my growth rather seem me being unproductive for no reason of mine.

Issue such as these are stopping my career from growing and also

causing finanical troubles since I am not happy with the way my

career is shaping up. Holding a job to keep my expenses going and

payin of my student loans.

 

My idealistic situation would be working for the oil and gas sector

in a petrochemical refining operation and growing to a higher

position (I do not wish to remain in technical engineering all my

life but want to work my way up into managment as the dream of any

other ambitions engineer). My drawback being Im quite implusive

however circumstances dont seem to help me with finanical savings or

career growth.

 

I hope you see where I am coming from, what I wish for is

recoginition in my field (oil and gas) and as an engineer from where

I can grown and develop and like my career.

Dear Amit ,

 

Your career drawback have not much to do wih your abilities , rather all these are connected to your personality .

 

I believe that in the opinion of your bosses you are the one with a lot of potential but inconsistent , unreliable and one who would make a lot make a lot of claims and deliver little .

 

You may agree that your interest and things you enjoy is rather limited and close ended and ill defined . ( fifth lord going back to fourth with Rahu ) . If you improve on these matters , your career will grow. The first break is expected in early 2008.

Dear Anandji,

Thanks for your feed back and I will hope and anticipate in patience

the break you have mentioned in 2008.

 

However, I would wish to add in a few points based on some of the

things you have said in regards to the personality.

 

While I consider myself implusive and quick and always desire for

things quickly part of my ariean nature (with mars aspecting the

lagna) I have never been unreliable infact have always made it a point

to finish the tasks I am assigned and seek out for better and improved

solutions to a given problem. I am the sort of person who would

complete a given task and during my spare time try to assess the

problem from a more creative standpoint to seek out solutions that are

more efficient and productive. Weather or not a person likes them does

not influence my ideology or way of living life since I believe many

of such opinions are rather subjective than objective. Like an english

essay being graded by various teachers in various different manners.

 

About being inconsistant, yes at time I am inconsistant like perhaps

every human being who ends up getting frustrated when circumstances go

against his or her desired will and he or she has to solely come to

terms with what is happening rather than doing much. However if I were

to average out my performace I do feel that it has been resonably good

considering the circumstances I was placed in, in regards to family,

finances and school.

 

About making claims, I have not made false claims but have only

adhered to what I believed I could accomplish and have rather believed

in the wisdom that a tree which has the most fruits is always bent.

 

In terms of things I enjoy, well they are quite diversified and I

enjoy them to their deepest liking from playing the saxophone, guitar

to being a semi professional astronomer and having been practacing

vedic astrology since I was 10 years of age. In addition I wouldnt

call my dual degrees in mechanical and chemical engineering from a

reputed university as being narrow or limited but rather diversified

and broad.

 

My problem as of present to be more ellborative is I am placed in the

electrical engineering department of a consulting firm in which I do

not have much interest (perhaps the placement of ketu in my 10th which

is suggestive of such problem and the field of electrical engineering)

my background is purely chemical in nature and here I am doing and

trying to learn electrical engineering I am sure anyone in that spot

would find it hard to come to terms with a field he has little to know

clue about, let alone be productive. The reason I am holding onto this

job is because till I get the proper break in my field I cannot risk

my finances and have obligations to pay of my student loans.

 

Finally coming to the point of bosses, my direct boss is quite racial

and abusive not just to me but to his entire time, the problem I end

up getting stuck is I am new to electrical engineering and need time

to come to terms with what is going on. So keeping aside my part of

making high claims I often end up landing under a boss who is

inconsiderate, and unhelping in mending my career. I am sure that you

are a managment consultant and would agree that empowerment and goal

organization are a key to better productivity in a new graduate

especially in a whole new field. I believe the responsbility lies much

along with the boss to empower his team and bring about efficient work

ethics. It is right said that many people dont leave their jobs but

rather leave their bosses.

 

If the above preceptions are a flaw in my personality I doubt that I

could ever change a personality to suit the needs of a boss who tends

to be abusive and suffers from bi-polar, if the above preceptions of

studying and obtaining degrees in chem and mech and working in an

electrical field seems in me having a personality flaw I doubt that I

have much control of such circumstances. However what I could do in

such a sitution is be responsible for my finances and try to manage

them best (even though I might get frustrated) so that I can pay of my

loans and full fill my obligations with the money I make.

 

I hope you see where I am coming from and where the problem lies, when

I spoke about circumstances.

job is because till I get the proper break in my field I cannot risk

my finances and have obligations to pay of my student loans.

 

Finally coming to the point of bosses, my direct boss is quite racial

and abusive not just to me but to his entire time, the problem I end

up getting stuck is I am new to electrical engineering and need time

to come to terms with what is going on. So keeping aside my part of

making high claims I often end up landing under a boss who is

inconsiderate, and unhelping in mending my career. I am sure that you

are a managment consultant and would agree that empowerment and goal

organization are a key to better productivity in a new graduate

especially in a whole new field. I believe the responsbility lies much

along with the boss to empower his team and bring about efficient work

ethics. It is right said that many people dont leave their jobs but

rather leave their bosses.

 

If the above preceptions are a flaw in my personality I doubt that I

could ever change a personality to suit the needs of a boss who tends

to be abusive and suffers from bi-polar, if the above preceptions of

studying and obtaining degrees in chem and mech and working in an

electrical field seems in me having a personality flaw I doubt that I

have much control of such circumstances. However what I could do in

such a sitution is be responsible for my finances and try to manage

them best (even though I might get frustrated) so that I can pay of my

loans and full fill my obligations with the money I make.

 

I hope you see where I am coming from and where the problem lies, when

I spoke about circumstances.

Dear Anand,

 

I have not cast the chart. However, going by the details you

give, there seems to be a problem. The lagna lord, the 10th lord

and the 11th lord all are in a dusthana! No wonder the career

and finances are under jeopardy.

 

I guess Mars and Saturn are together in the sixth. Again, this

is an unholy combination.

Dear Anandji,

I do not excatly remeber the time of asking the query since I simply

put it forth on this fourm to see what sort of opinion I recieved.

 

I feel while it would be a good excersise for the group if I further

ellaborate my chart though in my own personal way I would feel a bit

out of touch since it would not provide me much guidance I require at

this stage in life to figure out where the problem is happening.

 

Nonetheless I will give a few pointers about my own chart which might

or might not make sense since astrology can be quite subjective.

 

1. Ketu in the 10th house causing dissatisfaction with work, it

usually gives much interest in the metaphysical or gives disattachment

to where it sits including matters of the house its resident in

 

2. Sun and Rahu are cojoined even though the degree of seperation is

high which is good however the nature of rahu is to give a tendency to

jump fields, jsust as it is with mercury and has given me a dual

background in engineering both mechanical and chemical.

 

2. My 10th lord saturn is in 6th which causes issues also is in the

early degrees of the sign with mars.

 

4. On the positive front saturn is well placed in d9 and while mars is

debilated in d9 it cancels its deb using neechbhanga.

 

6. Suns aspect on the 10th house is good to provide a career direction

and some athority.

 

7. The MD of jupiter I hope brings with it some luck and fortune to my

crisis something I would have to wait and watch so I believe the 9th

house and 12th house along with 5th will come into operation and the

9th house being 12 from 10th causes some concern for me during the

jupiter MD.

 

8. There is a resonably well Gaja kesari yoga this I see with moon and

jupiter however the papa kartari yoga of juptier causes a bit of

problems but nonethe less is not sever in terms of strength.

 

Some basic points I have given above might perhaps help to understand

the chart.

 

Ketu along with metaphysical is known to deal with electricity or

eletrical goods. Hence my gettin into the electrical side of things

however what remains to be watched wold be weather the presence of sun

and merc in 4th and their aspect to the 10th can help me get out of

the elec side of things and some how land into the chemical process

side of things.

Dear Meenakshiji,

 

In your husband's chart, all Kendra's are occupied by malefics.

Venus in Lagna offers some solace. However, Venus is the 12th

lord as well. There is an exchange between Lagna lord and the

10th lord. And, 10th lord is in close conjunction with Ketu.

And, Sani-Kuja in 4-10 axis.

 

I see many negatives with respect career. However, I am not

qualified to suggest remedies. You may want to get help from

other learned members.

Dear Krishanaji

 

by that token everyone having career problems or fiancial strains

would have their 10, 11 and lagana lord in dustanas.

 

Perhaps I should mention a few rules cast by the txts.

 

1. Malefics in Dustanans are good. (parashara)

 

2. If a malefic owns a kendra and is placed in upachayas its good

(otherwise we have kendra pati dosa in kendras) and in konas it does

not help produce the results.

 

3. Mars and Satrn the hardcore malefics when placed in upchaya as

lords of 8th house mars in my case is 8th brings Virpreeta raja yoga

as mentioned by Sanjay Rathji esp when the planets are weak. saturn is

in intial degrees, mars is debilated in d9 however the cancellation of

deb in d9 as well with a powerful saturn in kendra.

 

4. Badkesh which is saturn for aries is placed in upachaya.

 

There are other pointers are well, however I think your comment is too

general to classify the problems I encouter by saying 10th lord is in

6th infact by priciples of bhavat bhavam it is in 9th from its house

10th which is a kona.

 

Also before we jump into quick predictions, it would be worth while to

see the condition of planets from moon and also from sun (in case of

job) so 10th from moon, 10th from sun and 10th from lagna.

 

I hope you see that merely mentioning the placement of 2 planets in

upcahaya does not make me a satan (unholy) nor does it reflect much

perhaps it causes some problems (but isnt that he case with 90% of

people in the fourm who have career and finanical problems

 

I still thank God for a lucky life on its own terms Im quite a

spritual person (and it was hilarious when you mentioned unholy) since

I consider myself blessed. While I do have dissatisfaction, and am

implusive being an ariean who enjoys competition and achiving higher

grounds. I do not really considering my life as a curse. Its something

I appreciate, I am dissatisfied by finances and career but somehow you

apprently mistook that as being dissastified of life which is not

the case I see it as a challange and learn to grown over and beyond my

limits.

 

Having said that I hope astrology is seen more as a complete science

than making predictions merely on the positions of a few planets.

Yes, I agree with you that the chart has to be studied with

reference to Lagna, Moon and also Navamsa should be looked at

before making predictions.

 

As I mentioned in my previous mail, I had not cast the chart and

was trying to give a quick reaction to what Anand stated in his

mail. My only point was that I could see a couple of negatives

in the mail itself without looking at the chart. That was the

point I was trying to make. In no way that was a complete

prediction.

 

I did not use the word 'unholy' in the religious sense. This

term is often used to give a negative connotation.

 

When 10th lord is in the 6th, what Parashar says is that "...be

bereft of wealth and be troubled by enemies, inspite of being

skilful". As the 10th lord is a malefic, ocupying dusthana would

reduce the problem, it will not elimiate it.

 

Though I have not cast your chart, from your mail I understand

that you seem to have a very good chart and are well blessed. I

am happy to note that. Not many people are happy with what they

have. You seem to be a contented person. Good for you.
