Guest guest
NAMASTE I perform Shiva puja every day too. For a long time I performed beginner Shiva puja. Then I added the 108 names of Shiva, to the end of puja. Then I added the Shiva Kavach at the end of puja, as it fit best for me there. I felt I had come into Shiva's presence, made offerings to Him, then I asked Him to protect me on every level while I perform His work in creation. After that, I ended with aarti, the Dance of Celebation. As I expanded puja further, I added the ATHA GANESYATHARVASIRAM, the prayer to Ganesh to bless and protect and remove all obstacles, first to the worship I was performing, and 2nd, to remove all obstacles in all creation so that peace can be created in this universe. Ganesh's prayer is in the beginner Shiva puja book and the advanced Shiva puja book. It is very powerful and beautiful. I did this in the beginning, after the prayer for peace in Shiva puja. Each addition came about because I wanted to become closer to Shiva. And it has worked. When I have more time, I include other mantras. Fortunately, there are many more mantras to add to the worship of the Lord. The only constraint is how long I can sit still. Hope this helps.
