Dear Nanda,

 

Would it be possible to write a post or file with both the transliterated

Sanskrit and English translation for the sankalpa mantra for each group

sankalpa?

 

In particular, being able to recite the Sanskrit (and know the translation)

for the part at the very end of the mantra that dedicates the sankalpa would

be great, especially if no book already includes it, for example:

 

(1) the new 2007 sankalpa to benefit the entire universe

(2) the ongoing prayer list

- this is a positive reaffirmation that clarifies why we are doing what we

are doing. So yes, by all means chant the sankalpa mantra "om adya jambudvipe

..." before you start your sadhana. If unsure about the sanskrit or what to

fill in for lunar days etc , keep it simple and say in English (I often do) .
