Guest guest
I was hoping to be able to do this japa at our homa fire with 1 mala being equal to 10. I am in Debi's situation. I can't do this mantra, and I am now working to learn it and can maybe do one mala in 30 minutes. Without the homa fire to boost me, I am afraid I won't be able to commit to an hour and a half a day in addition to my regular program with its increments. I was listening to Swamiji at the Mandir last night (webcams) and he talked about baby steps. What I took away from his talk was that it was important to do worship with great love so it is important to create goals that are achievable. He gave some personal examples. With that in mind and after reading Debi's post and that there is no homa section, I am thinking that I had better back off and not participate in a group sankalpa that will be more than I can embrace. I will work on this mantra and I will do a personal sankalpa to accomodate my baby stepping. I am a bit disappointed not to be able to participate at full throttle, but Swamiji's words sent a thunderbolt into my heart and soul. Guest guest
Sorry if I gave you ANY doughts Karen. Would only want to give you hope. But like you I keep hearing a voice saying I'm bitting off too much. My family is already complaining that I don't spend enough time with them. But now that I have worked with it today Karen, I am amazed as to how much easier it has gotten in just two resatations & plan to do another before bed. Had a little talk with myself & desided I wld at least try today and see how it goes. Did first one as my moring started. Sat up and thanked Maa and started. She's my insparation. Then desided to do second in afternoon and did it out in the beautiful weather with my animals all around me. It helped me to remember that this is for the universe. All those we love and live with, everyone and everything. I'll do last one tonight before bed I guess. Like you, guess we all have a full plate. Feel disapointed about not commiting but also made sankalpa to be truthful this year and that includes being truthful with myself & like you say, not taking on to much. Still have hopes of doing it though. Think I will do month by month like the truth sankalpa. Only every 40 days. Lots of members have posted great ideas for achieving goal. Hope you've seen them all. Maybe we can chalange eachother & make it that way. We can do 40 days at a time together if you want. Hugs, Debi Karen <forall10q > wrote: I was hoping to be able to do this japa at our homa fire with 1 mala being equal to 10. I am in Debi's situation.
