Namaste Kanda:

In my daily life, as a businessman, husband, pujari, devotee, and

lover of God, I cannot stop speaking. Even puja requires speech. So

I have to watch myself in all thoughts and actions, even emotions, so

that all are in harmony and balance.

Even a thought out of balance with goodness and harmony, is an untruth.

Wow. It is a very deep process.

Let's keep talking about it. It will help me.

This is so good,

Already it has caused the untruths in my own mind to amerge.

Being honest to other is difficult enough but with myself I have found it to be even more tricky.

It can be hard to catch yourself in that first lie you say to yourself to convence yourself that what you are doing is ok when you know it isn't. Those little excuses we make to make thing alright.

You're right. There are so many levels to this.

Everyone sharing all this is helpful too.

It;s good to have friends and family to talk with about these things.

We see there experiences and when we talk about our own we see them even better,

& the feed back is very hlpful.

Namaste vishweshwar

My daily life includes Valli my wife, our son and three daughters, and business. It is difficult at times for me to not be the talker, listening helps me in understanding the person and our relationship. It also helps me to let go of less relevant thoughts and sometimes recognition of past karmas that haven't been completely worked out. My business is consulting in systems analysis and computer software development and includes a lot of asking, explaining, listening and problem solving.

Thank God for Gurudeva, the Gurus and an interesting life and the mantras that bring us closer to the Gods and Being.

and from the Tirukkural

Fruitful words, which do not depart from the quality of sweetness, will give a man

goodwill ( on earth ) and merit ( in heaven ).

associated footnote merit = this is called in Sanskrit as well as in Tamil 'punyam',

a sort of credit entry in the books in heaven for good deeds done on earth

Om Namah Sivaya
