Guest guest
Namaste Helen, sorry to hear of your circumstances. Sympathize with you. Wealth in spirituality is more important than materialistic wealth. What you possess spiritually, nobody can take from you while material wealth can be lost overnight or taken by someone else. Spiritual achievements are taken with the person through all lifetimes. There is no perfection in life. Seeking perfection and expecting others to behave in accordance to what we see fit, would only bring unhappiness and discontent. Everyone is a free soul and this defines them as individuals. Each individual has his/her karmas whether he/ she is heading down the right or wrong path. If there is no way we can stop them or try to help them, then they have to go ghrough the wrong experiences for themselves in order to learn. In everybody's life, there is always some dissatisfaction with one thing or another. It is best to learn how to detach from situations and see them as Maya and Leela. While family, relatives and friends cannot be changed, the important thing is to change yourself. A good start is to become detached from the things they say or do. Then you will be less stressed. Lack of stress will help you regain better balance in health matters and on emotional levels. You have indeed achieved much spiritual growth by saying you accept what would come for you. This is called "surrender" (to the will of God). Part of surrendering means to detach yourself. Surrendering also helps remove blockages in the psyche. Many people from other religious backgrounds like Christians, Jewish, Buddhist, Catholic, etc, etc wear or use many Hindu holy items. It is nonsense that you can't get benefits just because you are from a Christian background. One strange thing about material wealth is that when a person stops focusing too hard on it, it comes when you least expect. Helen, are you comfortable about telling what sort of materialistic matters you wish to attain? Property? Business? Is it mainly money? Do you wish to tell which country you live? Then I though it is impossible to change Karma and I accepted it whatever come for me. Is it possible because I was born a Chrisitian many Hindus spiritual items such as Yantras, Malas or so on are not work for me for improve my material problems? Really I want to find out what is reason? Even my spiritual life start and blossom with Hindu meditation not Chrisitian prayer. Now I can understand Chrisitianity with my spiritual experiences.
