I am engaged to a Nepali Shiv bhakta and he gave me a natural Ganesh rudraksha which was from a tree growing near his house. I am wearing this rudraksha as well as a 9 mukhi, 3 mukhi and 13 mukhi Gauri Shankar. His parents are opposed to our marriage since I am American and I am wondering what rudraksha remedies for him or for me would help us to get around this major obstacle in addition to what I am already wearing. Also, if a woman is wearing rudraksh are the benefits gained by wearing them negated when she removes them during her monthly period? i.e. I have read some postings here where it is recommended that the beads are worn for 40 days straight to achieve effects - how can a menstruating woman do this? I removed my beads and started carrying them in an Om bag in my purse instead for that reason and his parents renewed their attacks against me at that time...coincidence maybe?
