Guest guest
Seeking a better understanding of Satyanarayana, the namesake deity of Sri Swamiji's boyhood, last night I did a Google search. To my edification and delight, I discovered a very helpful article written by our own guru-sister, Daria Woodside. Illustrated with 19 photographs, including some taken at the Baton Rouge temple, this article explains how the beneficent figure of Satyanarayana, which actually represents the Trinity, operates to reduce the barriers of caste and sect, while opening the gates to material and spiritual welfare to persons in all walks of life. After reading this article, I felt that Sri Swamiji's father must have been a prophet. For indeed, when his baby son had grown to manhood he proved to be the veritable Satyanarayana Swami! I highly recommend this article to members of the group who have not yet read it. http://www.louisianafolklife.org/LT/Articles_Essays/Puja.html Sri Ganapati Satyanarayana Swamiji sripadukam pujyayami namah.
