thuNaiyum: (My) companion

thozhum: worshipped

deivamum: deity/God

petra: had - but in this context one who borne me

thAyum: mother (who borne me) (Sri mAtha - LSN 1)

sruthikaLin: 4 Veda-s

paNaiyum: work of (4 vedas)

kozhundhum: shoot and

padhikoNda: anchoring

verum: root (of 4 veda-s) (vide supra - Sruthyai - LSN 539)

pani: snow, but here, comforting, cooling effects of snow

poongaNaiyum: (cooling, comforting) arrows made of flowers

karuppu: sugarcane

silaiyum: bow

men: soft, but here, fine

paasangusamum: (fine)noose and the goad

kaiyil: in (HER) hands (dhrutha pAsAngusa pushpabANa chApAm - LSN

dhyanam)

aNaiyum: adorned

thiripurasundhari: Thripurasundari

Avadhu: SHE is

arindhaname: I realized

 

The poet says:

 

"I (finally) realized that SHE, Thripurasundari, who has the five

arrows of flowers, sugarcane bow, the noose and the goad is my

companion (in life), GOD, Mother, and also the ONE from who (as the

root) the veda-s arise (as the shoot), and who is the action of veda-

s."
