Guest guest
I came across a word in R where Hanuman is described as 'Shatrukarshana'. How to split this word? I take it shatru means enemy. What is the other half mean, and why is it translated as 'destroyer of foes'? HanaH means destroy, but how does it fit into shatrukarshanaH? Hari
According to Monier-Williams, shatru-karshana means "harassing enemies." Hari
suchandra
According to Monier-Williams, shatru-karshana means "harassing enemies." Hari This name "Shatru-karshana" could also refer to Lord Ramacandra and Hanuman as Shatru-karshana das, servant of Shatru-karshana, Lord Ramacandra. Was Hanuman actually a real powerful ksatriya? Gaea
This name "Shatru-karshana" could also refer to Lord Ramacandra and Hanuman as Shatru-karshana das, servant of Shatru-karshana, Lord Ramacandra. Was Hanuman actually a real powerful ksatriya? As powerful as they come He was totally undefeatable because of His devotion to Ram.
