Guest guest
Namaste Kanda Yes, thank Shiva that there are Masters such as Maa and Swami who guide us and are examples of purity. Even when we do slip and speak, or think, "untruth", we can chant the mantras, and perform seva, to help balance or eliminate the negative fruits of our actions. Ramakrishna was quoted in the book: "They Lived with God", as saying to a devotee who worked in an office, "How is it that I can eat the food which you bring to me? I normally cannot eat food brought by those who tell lies. Your work in an office and tell lies. But, you give donate freely towards my welfare, and you love me dearly, so I can eat your offerings." Please keep discussing these issues, it really helps me keep my awareness on "truth". It is difficult at times for me to not be the talker, listening helps me in understanding the person and our relationship. It also helps me to let go of less relevant thoughts and sometimes recognition of past karmas that haven't been completely worked out. My business is consulting in systems analysis and computer software development and includes a lot of asking, explaining, listening and problem solving. > > Thank God for Gurudeva, the Gurus and an interesting life and the mantras that bring us closer to the Gods and Being. > > and from the Tirukkural > > Fruitful words, which do not depart from the quality of sweetness, will give a man > goodwill ( on earth ) and merit ( in heaven ). > > associated footnote merit = this is called in Sanskrit as well as in Tamil 'punyam', > a sort of credit entry in the books in heaven for good deeds done on earth > > Om Namah Sivaya > Love > Kanda > > > > > > inspectionconnection108 > > Sat, 6 Jan 2007 11:49 PM > Re: [www.ShreeMaa.org] How to Speak Only Truth, to Kanda > > > Namaste Kanda: > > In my daily life, as a businessman, husband, pujari, devotee, and > lover of God, I cannot stop speaking.
