Guest guest
Namaste, I'd like to start the group sankalpa practice with the sankalpa prayer (the one that starts with 'visnu om tat sat/om jambudvipe...') each time I sit to chant the mantra. Also, once I learn the mantra and can chant it silently, I would also like to try to coordinate pranayam with the chanting of it. Would one of the mandir sadhus kindly address the three questions below that relate to these goals? Thank you! Durga 1. What is the English for the correct dedication at the end of the pre-mantra sankalpa prayer, in transliterated Sanskrit -- 'YOUR NAME is performing for the sake of the universe'? OR 'YOUR NAME is performing for the satisfaction of the universe'? OR ??? 2. What would be the transliterated Sanskrit for the correct dedication? 3. An example that spells out how to coordinate the breath (1 inhale, 4 retain, 2 exhale) with the recitation -- how many mantras are optimally recited for the inhale, how many for the retention, how many for the exhalation
