Driving and chanting is a great sadhana. I chant to and from the

Mandir, as that is my longest daily jaunt. I work out of my home.

The verses at the end of your post state the truest reality, the

highest goal, of the sankalpas we are a part: repeating the mantra,

and speaking truth. They are interconnected and each supports the other.

Our lives on Earth are short, and every moment we have a choice: do

we think about the highest ideal of perfection, i.e.: the mantra and /

or speaking truth, or do we listen to the car radio and waste time?

Life requires on-going discrimination: how should I spend my time,

what will help this world, what will further the cause of peace-both

my peace and world peace?

Personally, for me to live in this world, I have to have a huge,

overarching sankalpa, one which I can refer to whenever I "drift" away

from the divine, and into worldly thoughts/actions/emotions: let Maa

and Swami take over, get the ego out of the way, and their THEIR WILL

BE DONE.

The verses you wrote state it perfectly.

We are so blessed that Maa and Swami give us these tasks. They know

we need all the help we can get keeping our minds and hearts busy.

Repeating the mantra is one of the many techniques they have bestowed

upon us.

WOW Thanks brother for reminding me too. See, she even give me you,

and all our brothers and sisters, to help keep me on the straight and

narrow.

Jai Maa Jai Swami
