What Was Divya Darshanam's Mission?

 

*DivyaDarshanam was organized to achieve the following:*

 

* To make people understand that the Vedas are the fundamental,

strong source documents of our Sampradayam.

 

* Ramayana & Mahabharatha are not just entertaining stories

or T.Vserials but they act as pillars of our Sampradayam and convey

all the basic

governing principles of our faith in a very practical and lucid manner.

 

* To explain the importance and need of Puranas especially Vishnu

Puranam & Kaisika Puranam (Source Varaha Puranam).

 

* To make public understand how Azhwars got engrossed in the

Divine attributes of the Lord, how they lost themselves in the ocean of the

lord's Kalyanagunas and how beautifully they sang the 4000 hyms on Lord

Sriman Narayana.

 

* Acharyas - Men must understand that our Acharyas not only

preached but also practised virtuously whatever they preached. Acharyas

toiled day and night to pen down enormous works. Their works collectively

teaches us so many aspects like Bhakthi, Gnyanam, basic details of our

faith, how to practice the various Srivaishnava Lakshanas , how to attain

salvation, purpose of our birth etc. Acharyas were born just to help us

cross the venomous ocean "Samsaram".

 

* Divya Darshan wanted people to learn about the great scholars who

lived in the recent past, their life history and their Kainkaryam (service

to humanity).

 

* Visiting 108 Divyadesams was a difficult task in those days, but

now it has became easier due to the development in transport and

communication. Still, today's people do not have sufficient time to visit

all the Divyadesams and so Divyadarshanam gave a golden opportunity to the

public, in the form of a stall named 108 Divyadesangal. It had various

models & charts displaying each and every detail of each divyadesam. Eminent

explanations about the 108 divyadesams were given by many kids.

 

* To make Sampradayam reach everyone in a very easy way, Computer

Games, Tambola, Personality Identification Games, and Crosswords were

presented.

 

The above was the message that Divya darshanam wanted to convey Public.

 

PUBLIC FEED BACK : -

 

Divya Darshanam was successful in accomplishing its mission- not only was

Divya Darshanam successful but achieved more than what is expected.

 

Everyone enjoyed the exhibition and they learned more than what they would

by reading books or listening to cassettes.

* "The 12 Divine saints appeared to us like the original Azhwars and

we were not able to control our tears while we were listening to them."

 

* "The tiny Azhwars, their sweet explanations will linger in my

mind for ever and will never leave my mind."

 

* "I have listened to Kanninun Siruthambu Upanyasam and also

Madurakavi Azhwar's vaibhavam, but properly realised the meaning of " Thevu

Mattariyen" only after hearing to this little Madurakavi. Hat's off to

Madurakaviyar."

 

* "When I listened to Embar explaining about Emberumanar, I

immediately fell at Embar's feet. How beautifully he spoke about

Emberumanar !"

 

* "In the Acharyas Stall, Namperumal explaining the reason for

choosing Manavala Mamunigal as Acharyan was wonderful and Matchless."

 

* "A small boy taking Alavandar's role beautifully explained how

his forefathers guarded & showed his ancestor's property ( Shri Ranga

Dhanam), how he received and transferred the same to the next preceptor of

the faith."

 

* "I am very happy that I have covered the 108 divya desams in one

place itself."

 

* "I felt like visiting each and every temple of the 108 Divya

desam. The kids are explaining the Sthalapuranam, Sthala vruksham,

Prathyaksham, Mangalasasanam ,speciality of each divya desam in such a way

that not even the archakas of these shrines would do to this extent."

 

* "I am filled up with extensive information about each and every

Divya desam."

 

* "I had a few doubts regarding Agamas, Vimanas, etc. and am happy

that my doubts got cleared after visiting this stall."

 

* "The models of each Divya desam look exactly like the original

shrine."

 

* "Ah ! its wonderfull. Never played games based on Sampradayam."

 

* "I don't know anything about Srivaishnava Sampradayam, but after

playing games I am happy that I came to know certain information about

Acharyas, their works, names of few Divya desams etc."

 

* " I never thought, there is so much of Science in our Traditional

practices. It is wonderful."

 

* "It was a spell bound experience to see the movie on Vishnu

Puranam."

 

* " A wonderful effort ! " excellent movie on Vishnu Puranam. I came

to know what Puranas mean , What Vishnupuranam is , How Srishti and Pralaya

occurs, and How and Why the Lord takes 1o Avatarsk, etc."

 

* "The predictions in Kaliyuga presented in Vishnu Puranam was so

unique and interesting."

 

On the whole Divya darshanam was simply a grand success. As it was

organised during the vaikunta ekadesi mahotsavam , a crowd of nearly

4000 attented

this show. Most of them requested us to even prolong the show for a day or

two, but as we had so many other restrictions we had to curtail the show on

the 31st itself. By your mangalasasanams and full support we will do more

and more in future for the betterment of the sampradayam.
